The 10th Annual Owens River Clean-Up, held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, brought together a dedicated group of volunteers to help protect one of California’s most treasured natural resources. Participants met at Pleasant Valley Campground early in the morning to clean up the riverbanks and surrounding areas. With gloves on and spirits high, volunteers worked together to remove debris and litter, making a significant impact on the health of the Owens River, known for its blue-ribbon fishery.

The event was not only a great success in terms of environmental impact but also a celebration of community spirit. Volunteers were treated to coffee, baked goods, and a delicious lunch, with a raffle offering local prizes. Organizers, including Chris Leonard, expressed gratitude to all those who volunteered and donated, making the 10th anniversary of the clean-up a memorable one. The annual event continues to highlight the importance of keeping the Owens River clean for future generations.
