Crowley Fish Foundation (CFF) is a volunteer based organization dedicated to preserving the region’s reputation as a world-class fishing destination.
CFF represents all angler types and encourages everyone to experience excellent recreational fishing, through increased fish stocking, education, conservation, and fishing events.

Second Trout Stocking Campaign
Our second trout stocking campaign is dedicated to the memory of longtime Crowley Lake fishing guide Chris Basso. Chris helped countless anglers enjoy the beauty of Crowley Lake while showing them how to successfully fish. Chris was an easily identifiable person at the lake, always kind and respectful to everyone. The Crowley Lake fishing community misses Chris, and the Crowley Fish Foundation is dedicating our fundraising campaign for our second trout stocking event scheduled for July 2026 in honor and memory of Chris Basso.
Follow our trout meter below, which will be updated regularly to show our progress towards our $30,000 goal for our second stocking event in July 2026. Patti Maisner has generously kicked off the Crowley Fish Foundation’s second trout stocking campaign with a total seed gift of $10,000 to honor the late Chris Basso.
