The Crowley Fish Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the Bishop Paiute Tribe for allowing us the opportunity to take nine local kids to the river this morning to teach them the art of fly fishing. It was a truly memorable experience, and we are deeply grateful for the Tribe’s support in making this happen. The day was filled with learning, laughter, and the beauty of nature, and we are thankful to have been a part of it. Our goal was to introduce the kids to the joys of fly fishing while also giving them a chance to connect with their local environment in a meaningful way.

Guides Joe Contaldi, Jarett Coons, and Chris Leonard joined forces with tribal leader Tom Gustie to ensure the day was both educational and enjoyable for all the kids involved. Their expertise and dedication were invaluable, and they made sure that each child received personalized instruction. From casting techniques to understanding river ecosystems, the kids walked away with new skills and knowledge. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of the Tribe, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the future, offering more opportunities to engage local youth with the outdoors. The day was a wonderful reminder of the power of community and the importance of preserving traditions for future generations.
