Crowley Fish Foundation is proud to announce that CFF is expanding its community fly-tying clinics. CFF board members working with other local volunteers have busily been teaching local tribal youth how to tie flies. The clinics with local tribal kids have gained enough attention that the Foundation has been asked to host fly-tying clinics for all community members.

While CFF will continue its program with the Paiute Tribe, it will also host bi-monthly clinics for anyone. The fly-tying clinics for local tribal youth and their family members run the first and third Tuesday of every month from 5PM to 6:30PM at the Paiute Shoshone Cultural Center on West Line Street. Beginning Tuesday, March 11, CFF will host fly-tying clinics for anyone, occurring the second and last Tuesday of every month from 5PM to 6:30PM at Bishop Country Club. Steve Shibley – general manager of the club – is opening the doors for these community clinics.
This is a great family activity. You don’t need to fly fish to tie flies. It’s a therapeutic art form in and of itself. Of course, it is always fun to catch fish with a fly that you tied yourself. All ability levels are welcome. All clinics are free of charge. People interested in attending should RSVP CFF Youth Director Jarett Coons at 760.920.0659.
