Tagged Fish

Did you happen to catch one of Crowley Fish Foundation’s tagged trophy trout? Congratulations! We are happy for you! 

First and foremost, you need the tag. It’s not hard to miss. It’s hot pink, and will be very obvious. Our information is recorded on it. You can keep the fish and remove the tag once done fishing, or even better, if you want to safely release the fish back into the water, simply push the tag end towards the tee end, grab the tee end and pull it out. It comes out with no struggle at all. Be sure to keep the fish in a net in the water when you do this to practice safe catch and release techniques. The fish will be fine if you release it this way.

You can report the catch to any CFF team member, or email info@crowleyfishfoundation.org for redemption of a prize. Prizes include anything from a half-day guided trip to gift certificates to local establishments. Take a photo of the fish, and of the tag. We will reach out to you with a prize once the tag has been verified.
